Dan and Paula,
Last year, on September 19, 2007, my boyfriend Kenneth and his dad brought home a puppy for me, Jennifer from RYANHAUS German Shepherd Dogs. He is a Sam / Bullet pup. He was whelped on September 16th, 2007. I named him Rocco. He is my pride and joy. It took about 5 days to house train him! He is highly intelligent, well mannered, strong, stoic, playful, curious and affectionate. In short, he is my best friend. Rocco comes to work with me Monday-Friday at my office ( we have a family owned and operated business).
Rocco plays ball/Frisbee up to three times per day and loves long walks. He is great in the car. As a matter of fact, I just traded in my car for a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo so Rocco would be more comfortable!
I constantly get stopped by people in my neighborhood while we are on our walks who compliment me on how well behaved/trained and handsome he is!!
Rocco loves his Kong, Air Kongs, Nylabones, tennis balls, and bully sticks ( he has his own toy chest)! He is a great eater and loves carrot snacks.
On September 9, 2008, Rocco weighed in at a svelte 100 lbs. He has been a healthy guy thus far.
I sent him to a professional trainer for 3 weeks in February and this past Summer he and I participated in Basic Obedience, which he passed with flying colors!
Thank you for giving me my best friend and companion.
**Attached are a few photos of my "little guy", Rocco.** Enjoy!
Best regards,![]()

Below:This is "Frankie" an Xander/Bonnie male, he lives with Mike and Donna, here is what they have to say:

Hi Paula,
Thank you for posting the photo of "Frankie" on your website. We are so happy to have such an incredible puppy as an addition to our family. I have owned, trained and worked with German Shepherd Dogs for over thirty years and have never seen one as strong, loving and intelligent as he is. It seems like almost every day he impresses me with his sound temperament, working drive and ability to solve complex problems (overcoming obstacles, finding lost articles and tracks and figuring out how to do as little as possible and still get by during obedience training).
The caption accompanying the photo needs to be corrected though. That picture was taken at the Pemigiwassett River in Lincoln,NH last September when he was only four and a half months old! He has been living on a strict grain free raw diet from day one and as you can see he is not only exceptionally healthy but thriving. He was last weighed at eight months and he weighed 94 pounds of solid bone and muscle without an ounce of fat. His coat is such a glossy black you should see the way the sun reflects off it. You can actually see the muscles ripple on his shoulders and hips. His stamina is such that he can run and play 5-6 miles every day without any indication of fatigue. When walking or exercising we are frequently stopped by people who compliment us on what an impressive dog he is. They find it hard to believe when I tell them he's not a dog yet but a nine month old pup.
By the way, "Frankie" is his call name given to him by my daughter who doesn't like his German name. She also taught him his obedience commands in English after I trained him only in German. His registered name is Keitel von Steindorfe.
Sincerely,
Michael T.

Update on "Thor"
Hi Paula!
Thank you for the lovely email Valentine! I appreciated receiving it and it was a nice surprise.
Here are two photos of Thor that I took this morning through the kitchen window. He won’t pose for me like this when I go out in the yard so I have to do it through the window. I would get better shots if I didn’t have to do this but these are better than nothing.
He never has ever gone over the fence and it isn’t something that I taught him, he just made that his own boundary. (he uses the back yard for his place of “business”) I have taught him not to bark at other dogs and owners walking past the fence and he is very good about that now. The mail person gives him treats, the recycle truck people give him a treat and the lady driver jumps down and runs over and give him a hug, the person who delivers meals on wheels to the lady next door tosses treat over the fence and Thor jumps up in the air and catches them in his mouth, all the children walking home from school stop and hug him. He really has an enormous fan club! He is incredibly handsome and everywhere we go people still stop me and tell me how beautiful he is. Who would have thought that he would turn out to be so beautiful by looking at him as a small puppy!!!!!!!
Thor is the love of my life and he is taken care of like royalty!
Blessings to you and your family and all your wonderful puppies and dogs,
Nancy

Hi Paula!
Here are two photos that I took this morning of Thor at Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester. We take him to the beach every day so that he can run and play with his ball and other dogs. Thor is very friendly to people and other dogs. We think he is beautiful and so do other people who see him.
I don't think he is going to be a big, heavy dog as he weights about 89 pounds at age 18 months. We are happy about that and like his weight just the way it is now.
I tell everyone about your very special East German bloodline German Shepherds! Keep up the great work! You are doing a wonderful job!
Take care,
Nancy
Here is a recent update on "Thor" February 23rd 2009...
Hi Paula!
I always enjoy looking at your website to see the new pups! They are so beautiful!
Frank wants me to send you this latest photo taken of Thor several days ago. Thor is the happiest when he is outside laying in the snow.
The other photos shows him in the yard taking note of all that goes on.
His most favorite thing is his daily trip to the beach at Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester where he plays with an Irish Wolf Hound or his buddy the Corgi. He is a ballahohlic and will chase a ball until he drops. Thor actually will still play with any dog of any size that will play with him. Thor will be two May 16th and is still a puppy at heart. He has filled out and weighs almost 100 pounds. He is solid muscle from all the running he does. People are amazed at how fast he is. Thor extremely fast for a large dog and can catch any dog he wants to, even the small ones.
He is such a nice boy that he even likes the garbage man and doesn’t bark at the truck! I have a short white picket fence around my property which Thor can easily go over but never has even tried to do it. When the snow was so high in the yard he could have just walked right over the fence but just sat there and surveyed all that goes on around him. Of course he is never outside without me being there at the window to watch him. He constantly checks up on me too and watches me back as you can see in one of the photos.
Everywhere we go people stop and tell us how beautiful he is. He is the handsomest dog on the beach! (of course I am somewhat prejudice!)
Keep up your good work of breeding beautiful, healthy, friendly puppies!
Take care,
Nancy

Hi Paula,
Here are recent photos of Abbey, puppy of Sam/Xander. She has successfully
passed "Basic Obedience Training Class" taken at B&B Professional Dog Training
in East Bridgewater, Ma. Abbey is fun loving, doggy friendly and has a wonderful
temperament. She loves going with us in the car, when she hears the keys jingle, she's
